  • We had a simply super time exploring Liverpool and the North Wirral Coast from this terrific base in New Brighton. Gail was exceptionally helpful in every way, including delicious breakfast selection, her local knowledge and even generous lifts in her car - everything had been thought about and nothing was too much trouble. We came by train to our first stay in the Liverpool area. We used the train conveniently to/fro New Brighton and Lime street stations . We had one day enjoying the Double (Ferry Cross The Mersey+ the Explorer Hop on off bus) then both Cathedrals with views from the roof of the Anglican Tower and snack at the cafe. Egg Cafe off Bold Street is a must for vegetarians. £10.75 for 3 delicious courses then the Theatre. The next day we walked in sunshine along most of the stunning north Wirral beaches via Nine Leaves restaurant in West Kirby and returned to put out feet up at the New Brighton cinema. Sunday morning at the lively Liverpool One church completed an exceptionally enjoyable weekend, helped by sound nights sleep in the quiet comfy room. Thank you Gail. Kathryn, UK, 2nd-5th August 2018

  • I had a very warm welcome from Gail, and a superb week in a very comfortable, warm home and the comfiest bed. The location is superb for the theatre and the added bonus of Rockwood round the corner, a bistro open all day, wonderful coastline.  Karen, 13th -18th February 2018

  • We found Gail’s place to be ideal for touring the Wirral. There is so much to see and as we took our cycles we took in a lot of interesting sites. The accommodation is first class with the best host ever. Thanks Gail. David and (Peter, Loves the cats) David, 2017

  • Everything is just as Gail describes. A great host who was quick to respond to any queries and really understanding when my arrival time changed. A warm welcome and great conversation when we had the chance to chat. Gail encourages you to feel at home and is happy for you to make use of the kitchen and relax in the living room. Breakfast was included with a great choice ...we didn't go hungry!! A high quality AirBnB-er!!!Richard, October 2017

  • I had a great stay with a very warm welcome, and everything I needed. Gail goes above and beyond to provide everything you need and is passionate about Liverpool and the area so can advise you on places to visit and tips and tricks. Do not hesitate, book a stay at her home! Leo, October 2017

  • I had a really great stay in Gail's home. She was the perfect host, and made me feel very welcome. Room was exactly as described; the bed was EXTREMELY comfortable and I had my own private bathroom right next door - effectively an en-suite. I was running a marathon in Liverpool that weekend so really needed a good night's sleep beforehand and that's exactly what I got. The combination of the super-quiet neighbourhood and the comfy bed meant I slept like a log. Gail was a great host making sure I had everything I needed and we had some really good conversations too. Thoroughly recommend. Ian, Surrey May 2017

  • Location was good to travel to Liverpool but not be in Liverpool. We chose it as have a car and we were finding the parking to be a problem with places available in the city. It was a 20 min drive to the city thru the tunnel. Wallasey has a promenade, which was a good walk to do. Gail's is close to the post office, which is handy. We parked easily on the street every day. This is a busy working home with Gail and her daughter up early and off to work. We were able to use the kitchen for preparing our meals, which was appreciated. We went to a show in Liverpool, parking was easy and we felt safe returning to the car park late at night. Gail gave us lots of information for local sights, which was much appreciated, without it we would never have gone to the Picton reading room in the library, which is amazing. The bed is comfortable. Anita and Ian, New Zealand, May 2017

  • My son and I stayed at Gail's place for two nights in the end of April. We came for a game of football, but thanks to Gail and her lovely daughter we got a full and wonderful Liverpool experience. The house is in a perfect silent area outside the more noisy Liverpool center, and we really had a good time. The place was always clean and tidy, and with a cosy home atmosphere. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome, and Gail helped us with any question or challenge without hesitation. We are really grateful, and we will definitely come back. It is a treasure, 100% recommended. Gunnar & Rasmus, Norway, April 2017

  • Gail was a very welcoming host, making every effort to help us feel at home. She was really helpful with any queries we had about the local area. The room was spacious, and within walking distance of pubs/bars/restaurants. A full breakfast was included in the room price. William, October 2016

  • AMAZING! Gail was a lovely host, very accommodating and very helpful. The room was perfect: very clean and welcoming, great size and wonderful beds! Breakfast was fantastic and the house had a very warm vibe. It was easy to get to and from Liverpool and is in a very nice location. Honestly a fabulous place to stay 10/10 recommend! Caitlin, Australia, October 2016

  • Excellent host, the house is nice and peaceful, the room is excellent, comfortable and clean. Would recommend to anyone. Mark, August-October 2016.

  • Gail was a most welcoming host with great communication right from the point of booking. She provided us with many helpful suggestions of places to visit and her passion for her home city shone through. Both our bedroom & bathroom were spotlessly clean and breakfast was just right. We were made to feel completely at home and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gail to friends and to stay with her again. May I thank her very much for her hospitality. Anne, July 2016

  • A great room in a lovely house and a 10 minute walk from the Floral Pavilion Theatre, so rather handy! I would happily stay with Gail again, she made me very welcome. Nicola, May 2016

  • Gail was a perfect host. She was very welcoming when we arrived and was more than happy to share her local knowledge with us to help improve our stay. The house was lovely and the room was exactly what we needed for a weekend in Liverpool. Cannot recommend Gail enough. Thanks again! Chris, December 2015

  • Gail home is cosy, very well equipped, with all you need and well located. It has everything you need and it is just perfect. Gail is a great host, very kind and accommodating. I would recommend it to all wanting to spend a few days in Liverpool. Gergana, Bulgaria, June to September 2015

  • Gail and her daughter were lovely. Beautiful house, great coffee and their DVD collection was amazing. Would stay again. Alexandra, May 2015

  • Gail was the perfect host. We had a bit of a chaotic schedule for the weekend but Gail helped out and made it easy for us. The room is warm and comfortable and the shower is great. Breakfast was also nice and convenient. Sorry we didn't get to chat longer. Chris, May 2015

  • Myself and my colleague had a wonderful stay here with Gail for 2 nights when we were performing at the Floral Pavillion. It is a very easy ten minute walk to the theatre and the seaside where there are lots of bars and restaurants, and also about a ten minute walk from New Brighton Station. Gail provided us with plenty of information regarding the accommodation before we arrived including what was provided at the house (ie. hairdryer etc. which is always handy to know!) The twin room was within a lovely house which felt very welcoming and homely as well as clean and warm. We had use of our own bathroom with a very good shower and there was a TV in the room. There are also two lovely cats to make friends with! Gail very kindly offered to meet us at the station, though we chose to walk, and welcomed us with a hot drink on our arrival. She was very friendly and easy going and let us know what we could help ourselves to in terms of teas, coffee and breakfast cereals. I would definitely recommend these digs and would be very happy to stay again if I'm ever up that way. Elaine, February 2015
